Merlin Returns to the Screens

It's magic. October comes and a new series of Merlin appears on screen. The success of a well known story broken into bite size bits and staffed with over-pretty actors and actresses breeds sequel after sequel. The magic of it is that just about everyone has some idea how the general story runs. Missed an episode? Not that important; you'll still be able to follow what is going on based on what you know.

Zac Efron Reinvented

Zac Efron has reinvented himself. Or he has reinvented his body. The slim dancing teen has become Hulk Hogan while we were looking somewhere else. Nothing left of the young boy charm of Troy Bolton, and mothers should think twice to describe him as favorite son-in-law now. He now looks like the perfect sin-in-law for boys and girls (and mums and dads).

Fake Coming Out For Taylor Lautner

The Internet was awash with the cover of People's Magazine showing Taylor Lautner (clothed) and the headline about his coming out. Many fell for it. Those that were caught in the scam sensation were definitely not People's reader. I can't remember it ever appearing on a Saturday as this cover purported to do. And special double issues appear twice a year in summer and at the end of the year; for mid summer it is a bit cold right now, and the end of the year is usually on the other side of New Year's Day. That is at least how I understand it.

The Gay Tom Daley

The question whether Tom Daley is gay or not has been asked (and not answered) so many times, it is becoming a running joke. There is a simple principle at work in that. The people who ask don't need to know. People who answer the question one way or another don't know. And the people who know don't answer the question. And this, in my opinion, is as it should be.

Brazilian Male Model Andrei Ries

A modelling career may be the dream of many a beautiful teen boy. If you think it is easy money, then you should first read the interview with Andrei Ries in absoluttomag in Portuguese. In it, the Brazilian actor and model was quite candid about how much work went into his career. He also stressed the deprivations of being apart from family and friends for long periods of time. If you are not prepared to work hard, to put up with being alone, and to live out of your suitcase, then look for something else to do.
