Stephen Baldwin joins the haters, and Pope Francis shoots sharp against religious fundamentalists. In his latest sermon that received wide recognition, Pope Francis attacked the religious right wing as sick people suffering from an illness. Stephen Baldwin meanwhile joins the fascists in their sickbed and takes part in a gay healing conference.
Hollywood actor Stephen Baldwin meanwhile has tried to defend his decision to participate in a Gay Healing Conference. At the end of the month, the 47-year-old will be a prominent participant in "Rising From The Ashes" in Greenville in the backwater state of South Carolina. It is organized by self proclaimed Christian parishes that have written "freedom from homosexuality" large on their flags. The same biblical cherry pickers have also eradicated most of the Bible's teaching from their so called faith.
The "favorite Baldwin" of former vice presidential clown Sarah Palin has repeatedly outed himself as a hater. He said a few years ago, it was "wrong to choose [a homosexual] lifestyle." Which goes to show how eminently gifted and knowledgeable he is and what a great expert he will be for the sick congregation of fundamentalists to listen to.
Stephen Baldwin appeared in several successful movies, such as the German-American drama "Last Exit to Brooklyn," "Born on the 4th of July," the totally brainless "Fled," or "The Usual Suspects." In "Threesome", he played a college student who entered into a three-way relationship with Josh Charles and Lara Flynn Boyle. By 2000, his acting career had basically ended. Proof positive of this can be found in his appearance in "I'm a Celebrity" in 2009 as only losers have to take part in it.
In 2001, he admitted his being drafted into Christian fundamentalist extremism to the shock and dismay of his older and normal brothers Alec, Daniel, and William. Stephen Baldwin tried to excuse his turn to religious mental terrorism with the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York. Former smokers are the most hard-line enemies of smoking promoting non-smoking with religious fervor. Stephen Baldwin has turned Messiah and founded his own church. Lacking any other viable offers for work, he has appeared in several movies promoting conversion to Christian extremism. In 2008, he threatened to emigrate to Canada should Barack Obama be elected president. Canadian officials probably refused him entry as he still lives in the United States.
Meanwhile, Pope Francis has attacked the misguided and sick right wing Christian fascists. Pope Francis has been very clear about how he feels about ideology posturing as religion. He has been very critical of right wing Christian fundamentalists. He has severely criticized anti-gay and anti-abortion hate campaigns run by self appointed Christians in the United States. He made it clear that ideological extremism is dangerous not only to Christianity but to the world.
Pope Francis called right-wing Christian fundamentalism a sickness implying they desperately need treatment. The upcoming convention in South Carolina would seem to be the perfect opportunity to do so. During daily Mass last week, Pope Francis called ideological Christianity an illness that doesn't serve Jesus Christ. Instead, it is intended to frighten people and pushes them away from true religion.
According to Radio Vatican, the Pope said:
“In ideologies there is not Jesus: in his tenderness, his love, his meekness. And ideologies are rigid, always. Of every sign: rigid. And when a Christian becomes a disciple of the ideology, he has lost the faith: he is no longer a disciple of Jesus, he is a disciple of this attitude of thought… For this reason Jesus said to them: ‘You have taken away the key of knowledge.’ The knowledge of Jesus is transformed into an ideological and also moralistic knowledge, because these close the door with many requirements. The faith becomes ideology and ideology frightens, ideology chases away the people, distances, distances the people and distances of the Church of the people. But it is a serious illness, this of ideological Christians. It is an illness, but it is not new, eh?”
In the college comedy Threesome, Stephen Baldwin bedded co-star Josh Charles. The black sheep of the Baldwin dynasty has joined the ranks of the haters while claiming not to have done so. Honey, this is not a Hollywood film, we don't believe everything we are told, especially by people like you. It is quite obvious that all future films that have any connection with Stephen Baldwin will have to be boycotted on principle. We wish him fun with his new job as star speaker at religious fundamentalist gatherings; they probably pay better than the studios as they have embezzled enough money from tax payers to buy the United States, or almost as Mitt Romney showed.
